Philosophy and Approach

Rechell embraces a therapeutic philosophy that integrates existential principles with her person-centered approach. She believes that every individual has the capacity for change, fulfillment, and the creation of personal meaning in the face of life’s inherent uncertainties. As a therapist, she is dedicated to supporting her clients on their journey towards growth, healing, and authentic living. Her goal is to empower clients to confront life’s challenges with courage, nurturing their inherent strengths, inner resilience, and healing capabilities. Rechell focuses on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Through collaboration and empathy, she helps clients develop insight and self-awareness, encouraging them to embrace their freedom of choice and take responsibility for shaping their lives authentically.

Areas of Expertise

Rechell is passionate about working with adults, youth, couples, and families, guiding them on their journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including family dynamics, where she facilitates healthy communication and boundary-setting to improve relationships. She provides valuable support for parents and caregivers, helping them adapt their parenting styles to meet the unique needs of their children while emphasizing responsive and developmentally appropriate communication. Additionally, Rechell addresses mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and self-esteem, and she specializes in identity exploration, assisting clients in navigating their sense of self and personal values. In the realm of relationship dynamics, she helps individuals and couples work through interpersonal challenges, fostering deeper connections and understanding. By integrating her existential philosophy with practical therapeutic techniques, Rechell offers a holistic approach that empowers her clients to develop healthy coping skills and achieve meaningful change in their lives.

Creating Meaningful Change

Rechell’s philosophy of change is rooted in a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, emphasizing the importance of human connections in the healing process. She believes that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful catalyst for change, providing a secure base from which clients can explore their inner world and past experiences. By cultivating a healthy relationship with oneself, clients develop self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, which are essential for lasting transformation. Rechell tailors her approach by integrating various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness techniques, solution-focused therapy (SFT), and attachment-based interventions, to meet each client’s unique needs. She helps clients understand how past experiences shape current patterns of thinking and behavior, empowering them to develop new skills and coping strategies. By fostering a safe and supportive environment, Rechell enables clients to navigate challenges, build resilience, and ultimately achieve personal growth and healing.

Education and Credentials

Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Psychology, and a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. She is currently working towards her doctorate in psychology through California Southern University.
