Our assessment process, step by step
1. Free consultation call
2. Clinical intake interview
Before testing begins, your psychologist meets with you (or with parents for child assessments) to gather developmental, medical, educational, and family history. For children, teacher questionnaires are also collected at this stage.
3. Testing sessions
Assessment typically takes 6–8 hours of direct testing time, spread across one or more appointments to match the individual’s stamina and needs. Sessions take place one-on-one in a calm, welcoming environment at our Edmonton clinic.
4. Scoring, analysis & report writing
Your psychologist scores all measures, interprets results in the context of your referral questions, and writes a comprehensive, plain-language report. This includes diagnostic impressions where applicable and a detailed list of recommendations.
5. Feedback session & next steps
We meet to walk through the report together, answer every question, and discuss practical next steps — whether that means school accommodations, referrals, therapy, or community supports. You leave with clarity and a plan.
